Took it out for a drive this morning and TPMS warning light came on.
Front looks good, rear driver looks good, rear passenger got a blank reading.
I checked the tire pressure and it’s good. I clear the reading and it rings wanting me the tire is low. I also cleared and reset the tire learning mode.
Still pressure is at blank with ringing warning. I think the TPMS sensor is out on the rear passenger side.
Any inputs where and how to go about this. If I take it to dealer they will say it’s a special car so it’s got a special high price. I’ve dealt with this special car, high price stuff before, like all fluid changes. It cost nothing but they keep saying it’s a special car. I know Z is a special car but don’t need special price. Pretty sure it’s the tpms on that corner. If it were low it have a reading.
BUT, the problem is to fix it the wheel must come off. Which requires that person not to damage your rotor upon R&R(removal/reinstallation). Then the person to remove the tire to instal new tpms must not scratch your wheel.
So the tpms is not special but it takes special care not to F up your rotor and wheel.
Long shot but try deflating then inflating tire to see if it’ll get it working but even if it works it’s on its last leg.
