IF they're being genuine and not facetious, keeping ICE into an 8th gen Mustang will have even more profound impact. Being the only domestic ICE pony car past 2030 will mean even those "hold outs" will have decisions to make as the last of the Challenger and Camaro ICE versions get to be 6+ years old. Some are fine keeping older used cars while others are more accustomed to buying new regularly.

Even beyond Mustang as it all but guarantees that F-series will also retain ICE, even if at a reduced presence. Actually, I'm willing to bet it was the other way around that triggered this. F-series buyers want to keep ICE and so it'll stick around and Mustang just gets to keep going with it too as a happy byproduct.
