Question

It looks like to me that shaking at idle is not entirely correct. I have checked 2 cars with L99 engine from a rent-a-car and they doesn't have any shakings, that could be felt on the seats (that I have for a 2 years of ownership).

When I had 3.6 LFX, I also had shaking at idle, with random jerks without any ECM error or check engine light. I replaced the whole set of chains and the shaking went away.

Now I have a similar situation on my L99. The shaking intensifies if I agressively drive and then stop at a traffic light. I changed motor mounts but no result. Also checked with smoke generator for the air leakage and found nothing. In our local GM service they checked an oil pressure on the VVT and found great results (currenly use 5w40, 108K mileage).

Check engine light is not comes on, however, error P0011-00 constantly sits in the ignition system chapter in the ECM. Also in 8 cases of 10 I have "Service Stabilitrak" message that comes on during cranking then dissapear. To eliminate it I crank starter slightly longer that usual.

As I know, P0011-00 is related to the VVT sprocket and / or timing chain and / or camshaft position. Do you have any thoughts on this?
