I have had all the torque reduction stuff on my transmission turned off for 2 years and for 20k miles with 171k miles on the tranny and just recently installed a triple d 3600 converter with no problems so far. I also have what they say is too much pressure in the transmission which I know GPI runs around the same pressures I do because they tuned my car in 2020. So I don't think that disabling the torque reduction will hurt your transmission. What I would be careful is where your tanny lock up the converter. I have mine set to only 6th gear and at 55 mph and release at 50 mph.
