GM put out a bulletin back in like 2007 that said that GM 88861800 replaced Dexoron III as the fill. There are better full synthetic alternatives that meet the spec such as Redline D4 or Amsoil. In the MSDS for this fluid, it lists the 100C viscosity at around 7.5 cST. Redline considers this 70w80 for gear oil https://www.redlineoil.com/d4-atf. I've had great results with Redline oils for MTs and rear LSD.
