I don't think an ELSD would be much of an upgrade. I've had one in the front diff on my truck for about 15 years (e-locker really) and they work well for that application, but for a car they won't do anything for you unless you are spinning only one of the tires. Now, if you have computer controlled all wheel drive, it might help, but probably is not worth the cost. You would probably be better off spending your money elsewhere.
