sounds like your crush sleeve moved or it was pressed with too much preload.
if your gears are good just get new bearings and seals but you should dial it in and make sure it's still in spec......while ur at it you should think about going with a spacer instead of that crush sleeve.
how many ft/lbs to spin the pinion?
