My old car didn’t have them either. I think they were gone by early October of ‘09, my last car was a 10/28/09 build, the current car is a 05/07/09 build and obviously has them. For a few years from ‘07-‘09 GM put them everything, I don’t remember the exact reason that they had to be removed but I do know it was part of the bail out stuff like I said.
You know what, now that you mention it I believe when they first came back in ‘12 or ‘13 they were the GM variant for a year or two before going to the Chevy style, I had forgotten that. Sorry guys it’s been 4-5 years since I did this research.

Appreciate the research and information from you and everyone else here! I'm a data hound when it comes to my car hobbies. Even if I don't remember ALL the details, the next time I see a chiclet or a performance badge, I'll at least know that they were used on certain cars in certain years.
