Seems like it wouldn't be beneficial for a street car that follows normal oil change intervals (3K miles +/-) due to the increased micron size rating?

Street Cars are a huge open-ended definition. Reality is this is more of a street race car/ race car type of Deal. People with built motors and what not like myself who run Holley Terminator X Max and tons of other modifications which I won't get into her not to thread jack, are not going off of Mileage, but more going off hits and races and passes. That whole change at 3K Interval works good for a normal street car. I don't think most people with regular street cars are even thinking about what is in their oil as far as particles or metal or any of that. Hell, I'd say most people with a regular modified street cars probably don't even check their oil level between intervals. With regards to what he said, he did not say it weas worse filtration, simply not superior.
