Not everyone that drives a racecar will make it to NASCAR or NHRA. Not everyone that likes to fish will ever see a blue marlin tournament.
Buy what you can and upgrade, if necessary. I don't think it's a stretch to say that most parts bought or talked about on this site are ever even close to being used to their potential. Why pay top dollar for race parts and take them to the grocery store?
