I won't yeild that because there's no way for us to know. I do know these sports don't make their money off the hardcore fans for the most part but the casual fan. Veiwership is where they make their money.I'm not spending my afternoon watching a team that's has NO chance of winning it all. What's the point?
All I know is half way through a season in CFB you've allready eliminated 98% of contenders. In the NFL they are ALL still alive. The games are riveting because of scenarios and seeding. And the best part is when the SB is over NOBODY, and I mean NOBODY argues over who the champion is. In CFB they argue EVERY YEAR.
And anyway, a playoffs wouldn't take away the importance of ANY games during the year. I don't understand that arguement. You still have to win your conference to get to the playoffs and most of the time two losses eliminates you.
