I've never noticed any whistle with the windows rolled down.
My breaks squeak a little. Nothing crazy. Typically when there's friction, things make noise.
My transmission just blew up (I had one of the earlier bad ones) and I still love my car. If I had to do it all over again I wouldn't change a thing.
