It was a fun time to be part of the site, we were all jones-ing for any new info/pics of the 5th gen, I didn't actually join the site till pics started showing up, I'm kinda shy like that, but the site saw a ton of growth in 2008 once we knew the car would return.

I don't personally recall a lot of info previous to the black and white iver car, with the shunt in the trunk, besides speculation drawings that were off by a mile.

It was a very long running joke of who is Shunt, and why is Shunt in the trunk??? It made the rounds for a very long time and raises its hilarious head every so often… in the most random places…

There was an “informative” piece of paper attached in a conspicuous place in the cabin of the early Camaros… It explained that “Shunt is in the trunk,” and people ran with it, the very earliest members and lots of other OG’s…

Mr Twisty is certainly one of the eldest OG’s, both in time on the site and in years of life… He arose from the dead or missing files and bombed old threads and places he used to haunt… Members build threads, some of the biggest and most heavily followed members build threads here on the site… The old folks thread in off topic etc… He was missing or inactive for a long while and suddenly comes back and hammers a bunch of threads… So I monikered him Shunt II, arisen from the trunk….

That's really early! Fbodfather auctioned off those headlight doors at the Indy get-together in 08? - 09? (I forgot) I tried to get them but I think Mr Berger ended up with them.
