Are mods paid for by earning points, or is it literally paying for it. I do a race game on my iPad where you earn points and race bucks for mods in a number of areas. I've got one car so maxed out it's purely on me if I lose a race.

In Assetto Corsa there are no mods to buy, but a GT3 car will have a ton of tuning options, (tires, gearing, suspension, aero, etc.) compared to a factory stock class. A I and opponent strength have more to do with winning or losing than tuning in the beginning. It seems there are 3 different A I driver types, the rookie that doesn't want you to scratch his car, (but he's still fast) the "Dale Earnhardt" that will try to crash you if you pass aggressively, and "Shumacher" in front of the pack and you never see him again after the race start, till you start getting better at the game or crank the opponent strength down lol

Can one of you or both explain Steam, an or Reddit gaming. Please be gentle.... I raced the Mile, and I knew my community, this is all Greek to me.

Steam seems to be an online game clearinghouse for developers, rather than buying a game in store you buy thru them. I'm sure there's more nefarious reasons for Steam, but I couldn't tell you what that is. They do tend to build packages for sale, for existing games, to keep them up to date, or add new cars and tracks.

You sound like the Egyptians I worked with.... Shiny new, (SQUIRREL).... I truly believe a previous more advanced race built the pyramids, or it was aliens.... You couldn't get those guys to walk from one side of the rig to another without getting distracted, and then lost....

I think the Plug Boy and Rocket Man stories are still in this thread... Brothers, fired within a few days of each other.... knuckleheads.
Acting stupid is much more difficult than acting smart...I should know, I get caught trying to be smart all the time, just sayin'
