Magride on our cars is 13 year old tech, or even older and they fail way to soon.

Don't disagree, but it's not as easy as it sounds for me. The GM "High Performance Tech" was at least able to get the struts installed without issue. The closest shop I would trust to do the coil over conversion correctly is about 2.5 hours away. My local dealer started with with one strut at $1350 but by the time a second one was located and taxes and labor were added we got up close to 4K. If they were to go out past the 1 year warranty I would likely just put it on a rollback and ship it off for the conversion.
