Tremec TR-6060: Clutch slave cylinder shims

I have done a small bit of research regarding a variety of available sized shims, for the Tremec TR-6060 manual transmission. It seems that this is more relevant for aftermarket clutch (kits). Is it just the clutch kit in and of itself that throws off the crucial spacing/engagement of the CSC?

Would it matter what kind of flywheel is used, or whether the CSC is aftermarket or not? I figured the bone stock setup didn’t use any kind of shims, and I assumed replacing with a completely OEM setup would be fine as is; but I’d like to make sure.

I’ve seen some cases where some setups have the CSC “over-extend” and then pop apart and fail (or something alone those lines). I’m also looking into possibly running a twin disc clutch setup, so I’m assuming the CSC might have to be shimmed in that case? I’m mostly planning to only stick to just factory/OEM (GM/AC Delco) branded CSC’s, so I’m not sure if that affects anything.
