I finally installed the heater core bypass hose. I’m now getting cold air on the passenger side and just air on the drivers side at the idle.

I’m a bit confused because I thought the heater core bypass would overcome this.

The Freon is good to go.

Ive search and read everything I can get my hands on but I’m still at a loss. One thing I read that seems to fit is a stuck blend door but I can clearly hear the door open and close yet the symptoms point towards a bad blend door which I’ve treated with the bypass.

What am I missing?


PS There’s an internet consensus that freon could be an issue. I’m going to triple dog check that thar’ Freon ‘cause I’m thinking it’s 16 years old and even with no leaks it might, just might, be a bit low because I’ve never needed to service it and report back with my findings to the community.
