Might just be for folks who like to live on the edge, or maybe have tools and stuff handy to clean..? I sometimes daily drive my Camaro, and I use my windshield washer fluid quite a bit. I actually buy decent wipers, that last long and are good for all-season use.
Nothing like needing washer fluid and actual, good-working wiper blades when you get something on your windshield while driving, and God forbid, can’t see! Like, even for racing, I believe some tracks tell you not to use it if you have windshield wiper fluid. But unless you’re attempting to shave off all the extra weight of the washer fluid and fluid motor itself, it’s not even worth removing IMO.
