Time certainly flies! I bought my 2000 SS 21 years ago and found a local forum NorCal-LSX and through there I learned about LS1tech.com and been on there for 21 years also. Then, when Transformers came out I fell in love with the 5th Gen. I got to see the red prototype at the SF auto show later that year, even hopped on stage and got a picture with it while security wasn’t looking lol And then signed up here in 09, I still had my 2000 SS. When the 5th gen’s started hitting the streets I loved them, but the crowd base around here showed no love or respect for any of the previous generations unless it was a 1st Gen so I was kinda turned off. But when I saw Berger Chevrolet’s announcement of their special edition’s, I couldn’t stop viewing the customer cars on the dealership website . . . even emailed Dick Jacques about pricing and how much it would be to ship to Cali. I never thought I’d ever buy a Berger Camaro because of the cost. Well I sold the 4th Gen in 2012, bought it back from the guy in 2016 lol started tinkering with it to build it how I wanted and then 4 years ago my wife gave me the ultimatum of either I could save the money for building the 4th Gen how I wanted it or if I could find a 5th Gen with exactly the mods I would do, sell the 4th Gen to buy it. Well surprisingly I found a rare Berger and it had exactly what I would’ve to my 4th gen and when I realized the price was about what I’d put into my 4th gen, we sold the 4th Gen and pulled the trigger on the Berger Camaro. Now to circle back to when I was emailing Dick Jacques, I now have his number and talk with him from time to time and also I’ve recently gotten ahold of the previous owner of this 5th Gen. Its been a fun experience in a car community! I’ve learned so much and continue to try to help people.
