I have the same size rims and am currently running factory sizes due to lack of funds to buy new tires. While 255 and 285/295 will fit, they must be stretched. This reduces grip (by more than you would think) and increase thread wear shortening tire life. Just based on what I'm experiencing right now, I totally do not recommend going anything smaller than 275 on a 9" and 305 on a 10".
