I replaced the control stalk ... and that didn't fix the problem. I'm puzzled ... but not mad. I was surprised that the new control stalk from GM was only like $28 ... I thought it would be a LOT more?? It was actually a lot easier to replace than I expected too. You just separate the upper and lower steering column halves, disconnect the electrical connector and release the two snap-tangs and it comes right out. Installation was the reverse of removal. Think I had it done in 20-25 minutes. Can't complain about the $$$, time and effort I put into trying to fix this issue ... only complaint is that it didn't solve the problem!!
