Finally got around to setting up my cell phone to pair with the Camaro in order to have hands free talking, using the cell phone minutes (Not Onstars).
Man, it was easy as hell to do this. And a very cool feature. If I can do it, anyone can. The manual explains it real good. I used the voice recognition for everything (Including saying the numbers for the phone). Worked flawlessly.
I didn't even need my cell phone manual. Just looked in Settings and looked for Bluetooth. After a little pre-reading, and some advice from a few members here (That also enforced how easy it was), I had the cell phone paired, and 10 different phone numbers stored in under 5 minutes. Hell, I sat in the car for an hour in the garage having a few cold Heinekens and calling up people using this newly discovered feature (I've had the car for almost 6 months now!!).
DO NOT LET THIS PROCESS INTIMIDATE YOU!! It's so easy, and totally awesome. The only thing I was worried about happened when I made the 1st phone call-- the sound came from the cell phone, and NOT the cars speakers. Weird. But all the following calls were fine.
