I used to work at a car dealer. I forgot all about holdback. So yeah, they really are making a lot more money than it looks like on this car. The industry as a whole might think they are being clever, but this kind of bullshit is what makes people put off and drag their feet when it comes to buying a car. People would buy a lot more cars if you didn't have to try to fight for a good price. If you could just go online, click 'buy it now', then go to a local GM store and pick it up. Like I said, people would buy more cars that way. ANYWAY

A local dealer quoted me an internet price that was about $375 below msrp. I'm going to see him tomorrow and hopefully I can work him down.
