This is an old trick that the V6 Mustang guys have been doing for years. They just use take off exhausts from the GT models when guys upgrade to aftermarket kits.
I didn't actually think it would make much of a difference with the Camaro though since the two systems are pretty close in size and design.

Nice thing about the 2005+ Mustangs is the mufflers are simply bolted on! No cutting to switch from the stock V6 muffler to a take-off GT muffler... simply unbolt and swap mufflers! The V6 Mustang muffler was incredibly restrictive... swapping to a GT muffler was about a 10 RWHP GAIN!!
