I am playing both sides of the fence here...the dealer and you the customer...bear with me.

A signed contract is a signed contract. If this matter was escalated say in a LEIN or court, you will likely win.

A dealer has in place competent individuals to perform the contracts and math. The dealer IS NOT telling you to ante up, they are playing the intimidation game with your GFX. If I read this correct, the originating dealer has your GFX and using them as collateral?

If that is the case, I would get the GFX done and installed. If they refuse, then contact your local television "problem solvers" and tell them that you signed a contract, took delivery, then 3 months later, they want $3500 or holding your property hostage.

My contention? It is their error. If perchance you knew that the car was $3500 less than what you thought at the time of the deal, you should pay up. I do not agree with the dealer re evaluating their paperwork 90 days later and only when you have service done.

What if they overcharged you $3500 and 90 days later you or a friend (or maybe an accoutant) realized the error. Wouldn't you want to rectify the issue and get your refund?

The way the dealer is going about this is questionable. I would ask Camaro Scotty, Anna or Becky their thoughts (Camaro sales on C5)

If your option and revelation is that the Camaro was $3500 less, then make a payment plan with the dealer for $100 a month or finance it through GMAC at 0% or have them finance the $3500 and have them pay ANY finance charges for their error. Hell, it is their professional error...Agree to pay $2500 of it interest free and see if they bite. I would stay out of court as litigation can make a $3500 matter cost you $10k. I know.

What exactly did you order, what was the sales price before down payment, incentives and pre tax?
