You're comparing two cars that aren't at equal playing fields. Saying that is a fair comparison is like adding a drag package to a V6 Camaro and saying it outruns a GT.
You may can also point to the Mustang's better individual handling test because of it's relatively low HP and weight compared to the Camaro.
