I would love to think it would be to fire back at ford but sadly I doubt that is the case. They are not saying anything about the 2011 model so people will buy now vs hold out for the one right around the corner in a sense.
I hate to say this since the only ford I have ever owned was a mustang and the darn thing through a rod after 3 days of ownership (lemons happen). However, GM would have to dratically cut down the weight of the camaro in order to compete. And that is not going to happen. Would make no sense cost wise for them.
Now would they offer additional power plant options??? More than likely. just my thoughts though and they are worthless. lol
