While Ford and GM are giving their V6 buyers a very impressive car, Dodge left their V6 guys with a slug.

Give 1, maybe 2 years at most. The old 3.5 is being phased out starting in 2011. The new 3.6 in the Grand Cherokee is rated at 280 HP and gets around 24-25 MPG in a 5000 pound SUV. THis is the non DI and non Multiair version, there is supposed to be a DI version also and Fiats mutliair is coming on basically all engines. I would easily expect the DI version in a Challenger to at least match the Camaro and Mustang and the V6 Challenger Curbweight, currently, is around 3720 pounds. From what I am each of the 3, Chrysler, Ford, and GM, are in the process of out with the old, in with the new, these are exciting times whether you are looking for a fmaily sedan (Fusion, 11 or 12 CHarger, and the Buick Regal (who can argue with a 230 HP turbo 4 and a 6 speed manual in a damned Buick????)), or a pony car, or even a truck (gotta love the Raptor and the 2010 powerwagon)..
