I literally put one GED in my entire time.. He scored a 99 (perfect)-- guess what just like he dropped out of HS, he dropped out of My DEP.
No offense but if you don't have the ability to finish HS, we as recruiters have little faith that you will finish your DEP commitment, and if you do, then your boot camp commitment, then Tech School/ A-School- then the remainder of your time.
Nothing against GED holders- but statistically they don't do as well in the service, and the wash out rate is much higher. That is why the AF only allows 1% of it's force to have GED only.
Lastly-- Good Luck in the ARMY.. Unless they are giving you some huge bonus. You are going to be joining the real world soon. If you think an E1 can afford a 30K car. You are going to face reality soon enough. Sorry to crush your dreams.
1/2 the people I put in thought they were going to buy a nice 30 -35K car when they joined-- and I think the nicest car any of them bought (that I stayed in touch with ) was a 25K dollar truck.

well to clarify things about where i'm from I'm LIVING in Jamestown,I was born and raised in Asbury Park,NJ.and I'm going in as an E2(Private with the insignia) but yeah I know at the start i won't be making much,but besides the car payment the rest of the money I'm stacking/
I did originally want to go into the navy and be a CTI(Cryptological Technician's Interprative) but since things turned out the way they did I'm ok with what I have.
I'll admit it was a mistake droppin out of hs,but it's one given a second chance i'd never repeat.but to the best of my knowledge the navy has indeed raised the ASVAB TO 70 even though I Scored a 68,and the credit checks is what kept me out of the navy
what I do want to do with the project car is eventually like SWAT 79 said and go in phases but the car will be fully built with FI,Trans,Rear Gears,Rear end. But I also want to keep it a sleeper.
I'm still throwing Ideas around in my head
Its still a hard toss up between Stang,Camaro,Chally and I'm even considering a 2008 Ford F-350 Super Duty Diesel or any Domestic Diesel Truck for that matter.
I'm not sure if you guys can tell but I'm the type of person who likes anything that can go fast
