Kotton, I would leave Porsche out of it. Unlike Ferrari/GTR who seem only concerned with track times, Porsche is about enjoyment.
Yes they are great performance cars, but they are built to be enjoyed... perfect handling, outstanding balance... If you're a good driver there are few cars that are as enjoyable to drive. So the GT2 might very well be slower than the ZR1 (BTW the top of the line Porsche currently on sale is the GT3 RS) but that is irrelevant to anyone who buys one.
Now again, I didn't read through that whole mess just picked up that the GT2 had been dragged into it. If cc is attempting to say all Porsche's are faster around a track... that's a whole different argument. And it would be false.
