About the Toyota floor mat / gas pedal thing -- I own two of them, and if you are not too lazy, you use the provided hooks to secure the floor mats and it will never get hung up in the gas pedal; if you don't use the hooks that the company gave you to secure the floor mats, then they can slip forward and stick under the accelerator pedal. . . . . . I think most Camaro owners would agree that a reasonable level of self-reliance is in order.
Anyway, I'm still in love with the new C5 and probably will buy one . . . but if GM and other US manufacturers can't see the obvious and fix themselves, then the future for them is equally obvious.

If you think the floor matt is what's causing that problem you haven't been paying attention. Some people that had the problem didn't even have floor matts in the car. Face it toyota is going down the same road Gm already went down. They are not longer top on quality anymore. They got to greedy.
Ford would be a much better example of quality these days.
