Also, reading that article they brag a lot about the new motor having "Aftermarket style heads" and "aftermarket style tuned headers" (or something to that effect). This stuff sounds like the cost is going to go up on this car. No matter what they say.

Ok so the gearing may be there if they chose the option. But to my initial point of "Oh GM will just answer with more HP in the camaro"
It isn't that easy. They won't make a 450HP camaro and at 430HP vette. So you usually see the increase in the vette a year or two before the camaro. I don't think GM will be doing anything but gearing option for 2011 and MAYBE you will see a "breathing" HP update for 2012 giving the car 10-15 HP
