Why do you want to change the thermostat to 160? The engine is designed to run at 190 to get the best combustion, leave it alone, it won't improve your performance. Haven't you noticed how rough your car runs until it warms up properly? If you want to do something with cooling, have the fan turn on temp dropped by 20 degrees.
