Toyota can also develop a car in 2 years and sell it without any significant problems. Yes the 2007 Camry did have a couple, but relatively few. And they are built in the US too.

I was really hoping that GM could get their act together . . . and there is still a good chance that I will buy one of these . . . but this is a little discouraging. I guess if they couldn't get their act together in the past 20 years it is a bit of a stretch to think that the "new GM" can do it overnight.

I still think you might be able to use the lemon law, read the summary that the guy posted -- I might not be reading it right, but I don't think you need to meet ALL of those conditions, just one of them . . . so just keep taking it back to them and leave it there for the same thing over and over, or leave it there for several days if it is not fixed, and it sounds like you fit the rules. If they can use the rules against you, you can play the same game.

(I fully expect to get flamed for talking about a rice burner on this site, but those are the facts!)
You know, I hear a lot of generalizations about many brands/models (and not just from you, but others as well). Toyotas with 0 problems, let's see, how many did they recently recall for sticking throttle issues (after at least several accidents and I believe a fatality or two)?? How many Toyota pickups were recalled for frames rusting out prematurely to the point that spare tires bolted under and to the frame fell off in the street while vehicles were running down the road?? I could give you more examples for Toyota as well as other manufacturers, the point is all manufacturers have some issues from time to time. If you want to state "facts", then please stick to facts that can be substansiated and backed up with data, otherwise it is just an opinion (and we all have them) based on our experience which may or may not be valid.
