Went down to see a Camaro first hand today.
1. Sweet looks.
Seriously - it is pretty bad ass.
2. Getting in the car.
Coming from a Jeep - it's a "stoop" but typical and expected.
3. Closing the door.
It's quiet. Very "pod-like". Like a comfortable space machine. Very very cool.
4. Vision.
It's a sports car. Rear and side vision - it's not like an AMC Pacer at all - important to "know where you are". Not a big problem for me.
5. Needs to be hacked.
Really needs a "car pc" - user-custom cameras out the back for some type of HUD - some sort of Linux/Android OS system - maybe tied into OnStar but preferably not.
I didn't get to drive it yet (maybe tomorrow). Sales guy gave me the "CIA look". Like he's evaluating me like his life depended on it - kind of creepy. I actually liked the guy and he was pretty straightforward but makes me think...
Frankly, if I can drive one, like it, and get a good price - done and done.
Definitely a different car buying experience though...
