I have had the Hurst Shifter installed about 2 weeks ago in my SS & absolutely love it. I have no rattles or noise under load or otherwise. It is very quiet. When you shift it makes a slight noise when it goes into gear--that is all!.
I am wondering if the rattling that some Hurst customers are having could be caused by a faulty installation.
