Unfortunately, I will have to slowly start building a name for myself, and I just don't see the ss camaro winning that many races. I mean if the z28 would come out, then that's a different story. But from my point of view, a stock 2011 ss will need a lot of work before it's ready to start smokin everything else at the track.

Ok as someone who tried (and failed) at becoming a pro, I'd be interested to know what your possibility is? If you're somehow serious, be prepared for a long expensive road with a lot of nos, and being the "best" isn't always what you need to get ahead. Pro Racing is all about the almighty dollar...
My suggestion for a serious track car is a Lotus Elise or Exige. You can get a used one at around your price point, and they have a great power to weight ratio, mods are available, every kind of racing part is available. The thing is a Track STAR. Forget anything else, it will cost you too much to track prep when the Exige and Elise are ready to rock from the beginning.
If you plan on daily driving your "race car" forget it, if you want to be the fastest and try to go pro, your car won't be able to be driven on the street, nor would you want to.
