I'm a long time Camaro owner (1994 & 2000 Z28's and currently a 2002 SS, M6). Yesterday I ordered a 2010 SS/RS, M6, CGM.

Does anyone know if the 2010, M6 has the "Skip Shift" that needs to be disabled like on the older models so you can shift to the gear you want when you want?

Thanks,
Another way to eliminate it is with a "tune" that modifies the car's computer settings. CAGS (Computer Aided Gear Shift) can be disabled in the tune. This method also pvents the 1-4 Shift message from showing up in the DIC (Driver Information Center) window. Manually disabling CAGS with the resister at the transmission will disable it but the 1-4 shift message still flashes up in the DIC...so I've been told. Downside of modifying the factory tune....you guessed it...risk of voiding 5 year/100,000 mile power train warranty. If you plan on getting a performance "tune" anyway at some point (like many do to gain more HP, TQ, and reduce Torque Management), you can eliminate CAGS at the same time quite easily.
