It's still gotta get 27 mpg.

I certainly think that it's possible for the V6 Camaro stock to achieve 60 in maybe a little under 5.9, like 5.7-5.8, and the 1/4 in 14.1-13.9. And I'm definitely hoping so.
But when we're talking a couple tenths of a second, it's not like we'll be able to feel the difference. And for example, the Accord Coupe can do 60 in 5.7 and if the Camaro does it in 5.9 that doesn't mean that the Accord is going to necessarily win. It's going to come down to how well you launch and driver skill.
And most importantly to note. GM is pretty good about slightly underrating the performance of their vehicles, so whatever the manufacturer performance ratings are doesn't mean that's all it can do. I know with my car, 0-60 was rated @ 6.3 seconds, but most owners and the car magazines, were able to achieve 5.9. Same goes with the new Cobalt SS Turbo. Mfr 0-60 is 5.7, but every car magazine has gotten it to 5.5. Same with the ZO6, and I'm willing to bet it'll be like that with the ZR1, the Camaro V6, and the Camaro SS...
