It takes about 10hp for every 1-2mph increase (also depending on CW value and drag) at these speeds and increases the faster you go. But 500rwhp with the correct gearing will get you to 180+ with enough room.

What is the Cd on the Camaro? And you are right, there are many factors that will determine the top speed a car can achieve, including those you listed above.
I never said that I did not believe a new Camaro could reach 186mph, just that I did not believe the car mentioned as having gone 186mph ever did so supercharged or not. At least not with the stock shortblock, gearing and transmission.
