If you just have liability on the 2nd vehicle the insurance shouldn't be that bad.
A few years ago I WAS able to afford a 2nd vehicle. I had an Extended Cab S10 Xtreme w/Full Coverage and a 1993 Lumina Z34 w/just Liability. My insurance was only around $1500 a year. I was 26 or 27 at the time.
Since then I've purchased a house, so the idea of a 2nd car isn't possible anymore. LOL I'll take the house over another car anyday though.
