I imagine since they are electronic gauges, selecting KPH vs. MPH will electronically change the sweep/range of the needle to correspond to the proper reading. So the gauge face will always say 0-160. In one of TAG's EXCELLENT photos of a close-up of the gauges with his use of a flash you can almost make out all of the symbols that light up in the gauges. MPH is above km/h, so one of those will light depending on if you've set it to metric or standard with the menu button on the stalk, and the needle sweep will be adjusted accordingly.
