My first question is are your parents paying for school or are you paying or have scholarship? If they are paying and struggling with bills you buying a new car might not be good right now. If things get bad for them and they need to consider selling their house you might need to worry about paying for school yourself or worse rent and utilities. I'd say If you are paying school bills then it's not that big a deal. But what happens if they can't afford to float you without rent. Most parents wont ask for it because they care about you, but they would be very proud of you offering it. I know you want this car bad (who wouldn't) but I was 28 when I got my 2010, and I remember lusting after the 2002 F-bodies. Maybe I could have afforded a V6 then but I waited and in September of 09 I rolled away in a loaded SS. It's a though decision but you sound smart enough to make the right choice. Just do what feels right and everything will work out in the end. Good Luck!
