That's why I did it there, I was just cruising along at 80, at 6:30 am and hit that stretch. I could see for 10 miles, not a car in sight, the temp outside was around 25 degrees, so I knew the tires weren't hot. I just dropped to 4th and hammered it. It went to 160, I shifted to 5th and in about a mile from when I hammered it at 80 I was doing 186. I always wanted to see If I could bury the speedo on this car and I did it. I wish now I would have run to redline. I was taching about 6300, so calculating it out I probably could have done about 193 at redline. While doing 180, I shifted to 6th to see If it would hold the speed, but it is .50 overdrive, and it wouldn't hold, and slowly started to drop off. The Vettes are the same way, they will only do their top speed in 5th. 6th is too high geared.
Pumpkin, look forward to meeting all the new camaro owners this spring.
If the job doesn't have me clear across the country by then.

Yeah, speedo is marked to 185 mph (one slash mark past 180 mph). And as mentioned you can use the DIC to see the speed readout (digital).
