My Z28 is black also, and I will not own another black car. But any dark color will show dust and dirt. The Navy Blue Metallic on the 4th gens is just about as hard to keep clean as black.
I think dark colors do look better-they show reflections more and give the appearance of a deep shine. However, light color cars will not show dust nearly as much. They look cleaner longer than dark cars.
