Olympic White: Proof, or dealer error?!

(corrected images coming soon)

edit: Ok, not really dealer error so much as a system error?!

So I have a Summite White 1SS/RS which I purchased from Classic Chevrolet in Grapevine. I know it is Summit White because that is what is on my window sticker. I also have a few chips in my paint. I would like to get these filled/touched up before I invest in a clear bra.

So I decided to order some touch-up paint. I was told the paint was on back order by my local dealerships and even from Classic. That's fine I can wait. A few weeks go by and my father goes to the dealership we have at home, Wilkinson Chevrolet in Refugio, Tx, and sure enough they can get some in within the week... but there's a problem.

I give him my vin, serial, and paint code (GAZ) so that they can send me my matching paint. They cannot find Summit White in the system. This information I provided is taking them to Olympic White. My dad figures what they heck, and sends it up here for me to figure all the details out. So I called Classic thinking Wilkinson might have had a mix up. I talk to Eric who's been great helping me out with everything for the car knowing we'll get this straightened out.

Sure enough, I explain what's going to to Eric, he calls their guys in parts (I'm assuming... service department maybe? He can clear that up if he reads it) and they're saying that all the Summit White paint is being pulled up as Olympic White and that it's the same color.

Below are pictures of what was bought at Wilkinson. You can't see on the second image, but it is: GM Vehicle Care 1 #1050015 Code 50 WA 8624 Lacquer touch-up Paint Olympic White

I will eventually get around to seeing if these are a 100% match to my Summit White when I can get some time to 'test' it.
