Gm and Im sure others has been known to put side air bags in the sides of the seats, Buick Rondevous for example, so yes technically a vert could have them. As far as windows being taken out by heads, yes I live with the results of that every day..... and I still dont like airbags. Im not sayin "dont put any air bags at all", and of course I'll have to live with whatever ends up in there I just want to know. As long as they stick to "90% of what you see will reach production, then I already have one in my garage, ya know? but still... a light bump in the front, not only do you have to fix the exterior damage, but you have a dash, steering wheel, and possibly seats, windsheild and side glass....etc.... just think if their gonna put it in, needs to be more complex sensors..... i think i'll stop here i could go on for hours. ---end airbag rant---
