I use a floor jack under the front crossmember, and jackstands under the front subframe rails. I set it down on the jackstands and then pump the floor jack back up against the crossmember just for double insurance in case a jackstand slips or something. The crossmember is in front of the drain plug/oil pan, about in line with a straight line drawn between the center of the two front tires. There is a thin crossmember behind the drain plug - don't use that one, not strong enough.
On the rear, I've got a couple of bottle jacks I put under the frame sections of the rear subframe. If I'm by myself, I just pump each side a couple pumps at a time so it goes up fairly even.
Once the rear is up and the car is about level, I change the oil. If your floor jack is too tall to get under the crossmember or air dam. You can drive up onto some boards with the front tires before rolling the jack under. I use 2 x 12 sections I had laying around - put a 45 deg bevel on one end to drive up easy on to.
If the front wheels are not coming off, don't even need to use jackstands. Just jack it up and slide some ramps under the front tires.
I don't like driving up ramps, seen too many damaged cars from people trying that. But I'll jack it up and slide the ramps under the front tires and lower it down onto the ramps. Then just leave the jack under the crossmember with pressure against it for insurance.
Make sure you started and ran the car until warm before the change. Oil filters come off much easier when warm.
