**I used 2 cable ties, worked good. If you don't use a fastener you could push the gauges down into the housing. Hard to explain but you'll understand when you start installing. Not a hard install job.**
I thought of that but to me that seemed a little cheap even by most standards. You would think that if you paid the suggested list of what $495.00 or so that GM could have put the package together a little better. Four clips and screws is all that was needed, so another $2.00. I used clips that we have where I work to lock the guages in place. Then I used the ties to retain the harness better then just with one of them. I holds them tight and I can remove them if I want to without cutting anything.
Just my lame opinion.
