I doubt it, the seam is pretty tight between the spoiler and trunk lid from what I have observed. Plus I thinkrust happens usually because of water just sitting there in place for a long time. I doubt that will happen in this case, the spoiler is too small and if you are driving the car around, the water's not just gonna sit there. Just my .02
